MIA is a unique airport from a financing and accounting standpoint. The primary responsibilities for Finance Division are to ensure the availability of the required funding for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), and maintain the financing and accounting for the Port Authority Properties "PAP". Further, in achieving the goals of the Aviation Department, the Finance Division has established a mission statement, which is "to provide timely and accurate financial and statistical service, thereby enabling MDAD Senior Management to make informed decisions to meet the current and future needs of our customers while fostering individual growth and teamwork."
