Ground Transportation:

Q. Where can I obtain ground transportation from Miami International Airport, via shuttle or taxi?
A
. SuperShuttle vans and taxicabs are available on the ground level of the airport terminal, outside the baggage claim area.

Q. During what hours is ground transportation available at Miami International Airport?
A
. Ground transportation (via taxi and SuperShuttle) is available 24 hours per day.

Q. What is the cost to travel by shuttle van or taxi?  Are reservations required?
A.
Costs vary by destination.  Please refer to the rate chart under the main section of “Parking and Ground Transportation”, sub-section “Taxi and Shuttle Services”.  Please note, reservations are not required for SuperShuttle or taxicab service that originates from Miami International Airport. Rates for taxi and shuttle service are also posted on the ground transportation kiosks located on the ground level of the terminal, outside the baggage claim areas. You may obtain additional information from any of the Aviation Department representatives at the curbside, dressed in blue uniforms.

. The number for SuperShuttle information and reservations is (305) 871-2000.

Q. Is there convenient transportation available to KEY WEST and other destinations in the Florida Keys?
A
. Daily transportation options to the Florida Keys include Greyhound Bus Service www.greyhound.com and taxi service. NOTE: taxi service to the Florida Keys is expensive because it is charged at the metered rate. Taxi prices are from $150 (to Key Largo) up to $500 (to Key West).

Taxi prices range from $150 (to Key Largo) up to $500 (to Key West).

Q. Is there convenient transportation available to ORLANDO?
A. Yes. 
There are many ground transportation companies that provide daily service from the Miami Airport to Orlando, one of Florida’s most popular vacation destinations. Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World are all located in the Orlando area. You may contact the Information Counter in the Terminal or call the Information Line at 305-876-7000 or 1-800-TALK-MIA. You may also refer to the list of MIA authorized Ground Transportation service providers via this link:http://www.miami-airport.com/html/ground_transportation_service.htm.
 

Q. How can I obtain information regarding the “TRI-RAIL” Commuter Train to travel between Miami and Palm Beach?
A
. Based on zone travel, round trip prices range from $3.50 to $9.25 (reduced prices for senior citizens, students, children ages 5-12, disabled passengers and Medicare recipients.) Q. What is the physical address of the airport?
A. The Miami Airport does not have an actual physical address. For GPS driving directions or to use online mapping services such as MapQuest, you may enter the following address: 4200 NW 21 St – Miami, Fl 33122.  For additional information, Click here.
  

Q. What type of transportation options are available from Miami International Airport to Ft. Lauderdale Airport?
A.
The services available on demand are: Taxi service and SuperShuttle shared ride van service. Other options include Tri-Rail Commuter Train Service and pre-arranged ground transportation services, including bus and limousine. Taxi service and SuperShuttle van service is available at the airport 24 hours a day, on demand. Reservations for these two services are not needed. The Tri-Rail commuter train station is located just outside the airport. Free shuttle service to and from the train station is available to passengers using this service.  Please contact Tri-Rail directly to inquire about the rates and schedules for the train service. Q. Is there courtesy transportation from Miami International Airport to my hotel?
A
. Please check with your selected hotel directly to find out whether or not they offer courtesy shuttle transportation to and from the airport.

Q. Are there Things to Do on a layover?
A
. If you have 3 to 5 hours between flights, we have some things you can do (cosas que hacer)) to occupy your time. Check with the Information Center located in Concourse E, Level 2 for more details.
