MIAMI – On Tuesday, January 9, 2001, United States Senator Bob Graham of Florida will spend his 365th workday – equaling one full year of days spent working side-by-side with the people of Florida – flying to three Florida cities with U.S. Airways.
During the workday, Senator Graham will work as a flight attendant, customer service agent, and baggage handler on flights from Tallahassee to Tampa to Miami. Additionally, receptions with former workday co-workers and local officials will be held at all three locations.
Senator Graham is scheduled to arrive at Miami International Airport (Concourse H) at 4:45 p.m. aboard U.S. Airways flight #3263. En route, his job responsibility will be Flight Attendant Assistant. Once at MIA, he will work with U.S. Airways’ Customer Service Agents.
A reception will be held after the workday at 6 p.m. on the 3rd Level of Concourse H.
Senator Graham began his workday program in 1974. Since then, his 365 jobs have included teacher, garbage collector, police officer, and chicken plucker. He plans 12 workdays each year.
