Situated approximately three miles northwest of the City of Homestead, Miami Homestead General Aviation Airport (X51) offers quick and easy access with no landing fees. The airport is adjacent to Everglades National Park and is only 25 minutes from Biscayne National Park's coral reefs.
Miami Homestead General Aviation Airport is the closest airport to the Homestead/Miami Speedway with NASCAR, BUSH, IRL and IROC Championship Racing just minutes away. The airport is located in the agricultural community -- minutes west of the business areas of South Dade and the City of Homestead. Additionally, the airport provides a convenient link to all of the Florida Keys and is a short 30-minute drive from Key Largo and the Ocean Reef Club, famous for their world-class sport fishing and incredible coral reefs.

Homestead General Airport has typically served flight training and sport recreational aviation needs. This trend is changing due to the increase of corporate charter activity as a result of the growth in south Miami-Dade County as well as Homestead Speedway’s daily and large-scale NASCAR, Indy Race League (IRL) and Grand Touring Over (GTO) racing events which have increased Airport activity by 25%.
