Creative Visions
Digital Exhibition by District 11 Art Students
Creative Visions is a student art exhibition featuring the creative talents of young artists from Miami-Dade County Public Schools within District 11. Commissioner Joe A. Martinez, District 11, created this competition 10 years ago to actively support the creative talents of these students by providing them with the opportunity to challenge themselves and express their creative visions in art form.
Every year, an awards ceremony and opening reception are held at Florida International University’s Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum, where students are recognized for their talents before their artwork travels to Miami International Airport to be viewed by countless passengers, visitors, and airport employees.
This year’s Creative Visions is being showcased online to continue engaging and connecting our community and viewers from across the world with our young local artistic talent.
“I wanted to honor and commend all the students who worked so hard during the 2019-2020 school year participating and turning in their artwork by putting this video together and giving them a chance to have their artwork seen by everyone. I encourage them to continue expressing themselves and enriching our lives through their art and creative visions,’’ says Commissioner Martinez.
