Welcome to Miami International Airport! We are proud to help host the 11th Super Bowl in Miami-Dade County – the most by any community in the game’s 54-year history. From touchdown to takeoff, we’ve put together a winning playbook to help you navigate our airport and not get sidelined. If you follow the tips below, you will become an MVP (aka Most Valued Passenger).
When you arrive at MIA, one of the first plays you will need to call is for ground transportation.
Ride app pickup zones are located on the Arrivals Level (1) at the middle median outside of doors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 15, 20 and 23.
Hotel shuttle bus pick-up zones are also on the Arrivals Level, at these locations.

On Monday, February 3, the day after the Super Bowl, we are expecting a heavy volume of passengers. To make the travel experience as smooth as possible, we advise all passengers to remember 5-4-3-2-1:
- 5 hours before departure, check out of your hotel.
- 4 hours before departure, start making your way to the airport. Request your taxi, shuttle, ride app, take public transportation or return your rental car.
- 3 hours before departure, check in at your ticket counter.
- 2 hours before departure, proceed to the TSA security checkpoint.
- 1 hour before departure, arrive at your gate, relax, and have a great flight.
Also, don’t let the TSA call a personal foul on your Super Bowl program. Don’t pack your program in your checked luggage. It is made of material that may alert the TSA screening machines. To get through the checkpoint quicker, take the program out of your carry-on and place it in its own bin.
Due to increased vehicle traffic expected at MIA on Monday, February 3, all ride app passengers will be dropped off at the MIA Rental Car Center. Passengers then will hop on the MIA Mover for a two-minute ride to the MIA station, located on the airport’s 3rd level between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages. The station is at the center of MIA and is connected by moving walkways to all sections of the terminal building.
Download the MIA Airport Official app for turn-by-turn navigation, gate information, flight status and more.
Before heading to the airport, check-in online with your airline to expedite the process.
Unfortunately, human trafficking activity tends to increase during major sports events like the Super Bowl. MIA is partnering with It’s a Penalty and The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade to help airport users and employees recognize the signs of human trafficking.
