Miami-Dade County and the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) regularly solicit proposals from qualified architects and engineers (A/E) to act as consultants for its projects.
In addition to the electronic solicitations (e-solicitations) advertised through the Office of Capital Improvements all MDAD solicitations are publicly advertised in the following local newspapers: Daily Business Review, Diario de Las Americas, The Miami Times, and Haiti en Marche.
The consultant selection process is governed by the State of Florida Statute Section "287.055" and Miami-Dade County Code Section "2-10.4." For more information on the criteria utilized for consultant selection please click on the A/E Governing Legislation links listed below.
In order to propose on a project, all firms engaged in the practice of engineering, architecture, landscape architecture and/or land surveying and mapping must have valid Technical Certification and an approved Affirmative Action Plan by the response deadline for the subject advertisement. For questions regarding Miami-Dade County's Technical Certification, please contact Ms. Jamila Gibson at (305) 375-4784.
