Miami Homestead General Aviation Airport
Situated approximately three miles northwest of the City of Homestead, Homestead General Aviation Airport offers quick and easy access with no landing fees. The airport is adjacent to Everglades National Park and is only 25 minutes from Biscayne National Park's coral reefs.
Miami Executive Airport
Miami Executive Airport (TMB) is just 15 minutes from the business centers of south Miami-Dade. The Airport's proximity to the Florida Keys, Everglades and Biscayne National Parks makes it perfect for eco-tourism. The airport serves primarily business, recreational and private flights, as a reliever to Miami International Airport (MIA).
MIA General Aviation Center
The General Aviation Center (GAC), which is operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, offers services to private flights every day of the year, 24/7. Services are limited to telephones, restrooms, information and a roomy public lounge with a vending area. The GAC also houses US Customs and Border Protection, whose function is to clear arriving international flights, whether they be private, charter or cargo flights.
Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport
Miami-Opa locka Executive (OPF) is located 7 miles North of Miami International Airport, 12 miles N.W. of city center and 3 miles from Sun Life Stadium. OPF, the largest of Miami-Dade County's five General Aviation Airports has an operating staff of 7 and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. OPF handles a variety of private, pleasure and business flights and is a reliever for Miami International Airport. During 2005 this Airport recorded a total of 137,122 flight operations.
Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport
Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport is located approximately 40 miles to the west of Miami in
central South Florida. Situated near Collier and Miami-Dade County border, the Airport is relatively
isolated within the Florida Everglades. Primary access to the airport is provided by US-41 running east-west between Naples and Miami.
